I’m constantly asked, “What is your favorite wood?” Because each wood type has its own qualities,
each board its own character, there is no single answer to this seemingly easy question;
what may be appropriate for one piece may be completely inappropriate for another.
The woods listed on the left are species I’ve used in my work at one time or another. Included are
images of the trees and wood along with a brief description and my experience with each.
